I spend a lot of time thinking about how systems tell you they're unwell. Five years of building data pipelines and supporting the platforms that run on them across Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, and now Vancouver — taught me that the interesting work isn't the dashboard. It's the alert that fires at 2am because a feed went stale, and the twenty minutes of tracing that tells you why.
These days I'm Co-Founder and CTO at Tenovio, running production infrastructure on Cloudflare Workers and Supabase, and going deeper on the Splunk and OpenTelemetry side of observability. Before that I was the person the sales organization called when the numbers looked wrong — which is a good way to learn how many different layers "wrong" can live in.
I like problems where the fix is permanent rather than clever. I like documentation that saves the next person an hour. And I've gotten reasonably good at explaining an infrastructure failure to someone who just wants to know when the report will be ready.
Vancouver, BC. Always up for a conversation about reliability, monitoring, or why your alerts are too noisy.
